The Holly Gate Cactus Garden houses a unique collection of over 30,000 exotic plants. It has grown during the last four decades and is well known throughout the world, each year attracting many visitors from abroad. Many rare plants from the more arid areas of the world such as USA, Mexico, South America and Africa are represented as well as the sub-tropical epiphytic cacti from the Central and South American jungles. The Garden is attractively landscaped in over 10,000 sq. ft. of glasshouses enabling visitors to wander at leisure amongst the many plants. Admire their many unusual forms: some very small, hiding from predators - like pebbles , others tall and majestic, dominating the landscape. There are always many plants in flower making it the ideal focus for an outing what ever the weather. There is something of interest for everyone. Children love it while the grown ups can study their favourite plants or relive their memories of holidays in exotic places. Although featured on TV and radio and in various gardening magazines the Cactus Garden must be visited to appreciate the full effect of its natural splendour. ADMISSION
