APRIL 2005
I really can not think that a year
has elapsed since I last updated these pages. Having just re-read April 2004 it
says almost exactly what I was going to write here. The only difference is that
after what looked like a very early spring in January, the cold weather in March
has slowed everything down again.
The last few warm days have
certainly made a difference and it has at last been possible to give the plants
their first watering. Many of them have now dried out again and it will soon be
time to commence watering properly and begin feeding.
The Aloes are looking
beautiful at the moment and many are in full flower. Changing the soil in the
beds has certainly revitalized many plants and they are looking superb again.
Repotting ones collection is always a daunting thought- but our collection
covers 10,000 square feet and takes a little longer.
If you are able to visit the
Nursery we look forward to seeing you.
Terry Hewitt.
