NOVEMBER 2005
Firstly, we must apologise for not updating the website sooner.
Hopefully, you will appreciate that we have had a lot to do at the nursery and we have had problems with the computer. WE must also apologise for not replying to any recent emails. We have had some problems, since the computer crashed, in obtaining the password and information to reinstall our own access to this. We are pleased to announce that we have now [as far as we know] got all the information that we need to reply to any emails [ all 400!] that you sent and will send in future, and hopefully keep the website reasonably up to date. Until I have more practice, I am afraid that this will be a bit limited.
October saw lots of flowers in the Cactus Garden. The Conophytums and Lithops gave a lovely display but have now really finished. The Pereskia has been covered in masses of flowers, creating a lovely perfume which gives a wonderful scent as you enter the greenhouse, although, this too has now almost finished,
The warm weather has kept the plants flowering and growing longer than usual this Autumn and the Aloes are now beginning to put up their flower spikes, which should give a good, colourful show in a few weeks time. The various Crassulas are also producing lots of flower buds and these will be out soon.
We currently have available, [for visitors to the nursery only at the moment, as we can't post these] assorted carnivorous plants priced at £6 in a 13cm pot, and a number of assorted larger crassulas in bud from £3.95 upwards.
With the evenings drawing in, visitors to the nursery, please remember that our winter opening times are 9am - 4pm from November until the end of January and that we are closed on Christmas Day and Boxing Day.
Hopefully the weather will be kind to us over the next few weeks and we look forward to seeing some of you at the nursery soon. We will be replying to all of the emails that you have sent over the past few weeks, during the next few days. Please be patient, then once we have caught up with ourselves we should be able to reply to any future emails as they arrive.
